Character Design: Villain
I decided to reference a rat, as one of the Chinese horoscopes. I put an armor influenced by ancient Chinese soldiers.

I was struggling with the shapes of my characters. They needed something more interesting in terms of their personality. I decided to take a look at Chinese horoscopes and still give them features of elements.
I decided to use tiger for my hero, rat for villain and ox for sidekick.

I took some photos of a lighter fire, so I would imagine how would it look like if fire would shoot as water from the geyser

Influences for Villain
I did some research on fire and related things, such as volcanoes and lava. I was inspired by Iceland nature the most, it has wonderful colour palet, as well as absolutely different nature than any other countries have.
I tried to find similar shapes to smoke, geyser and volcano holes that were used in art. Iris Van Herpen is a Dutch fashion designer referencing nature and architecture. I find these to garments the most influential
