Your younger character is nicely expressive - petulant. grumpy, annoyed - and your older character looks like a bit of a doofus! Which I guess means these characters are beginning to cook! Can't quite read the doofus's face yet though?
You should consider getting some additional character and performance into their poses and line of action:
